Scrappage makes a comeback - Britain’s ‘oldest carmaker’ offers £2k for your old car Vauxhall has launched its own scrappage scheme – despite
telling CCW that manufacturers ‘shouldn’t get involved’ with it. The manufacturer is offering a £2000 discount on new models in return for
older cars offered up. It has confirmed there is no criteria for what should be spared, but says it is encouraging its dealers not to scrap ‘true classics’.
