GOVT UNDER FIRE FOR MoT RULE U-TURN
The Department for Transport (DfT) has come under heavy criticism for back-pedalling on plans to extend the time of a modern car’s first MoT from three years to four years, under the grounds of safety. Classic experts are now asking why some cars must be tested from three years old, when tax-exempt classics more than forty years old do not.
