Only the Motown great’s second LP of all-new music since 1991’s Double Good Everything, his return has been overshadowed by that icky album title.
Sure enough, the title track and semi-spoken I Wanna Know Your Body are deeply peculiar. Not only does Gasms feature lyrics about “hard to find gasms” like an ill-advised Steve Coogan character, it sounds cheap, more Bontempi than Berry Gordy.
