MODERN HISTORY
Jasper Fellows explains how West London Shooting School combines its deep history with a passion for introducing clients to something new
F ew grounds in the UK can compete with the rich history of West London Shooting School. For over a century it has provided expert tuition to clay shots looking to boost their scores, while also providing a safe place for game shooters to get their eye in before heading out into the field. It stands today as a testament to England’s past glories, while still continuing to advance today’s shooters to a level their ancestors never would have dreamed of.
“The school was founded back in 1901 by Richmond Watson,” explains shooting ground manager Mark Heath. “Originally it was based at Perivale, where the Hoover Building now stands, before moving, in 1931, to its current home in Northolt.” Mark joined the team at West London in 2011, having previously served in the met police for over 30 years – clearly he has an eye for the capital and its rich history.
