TIP OF THE FORTNIGHT
Block website clutter using AdGuard
I’ve been using AdGuard (www.snipca.com/52253) to block adverts ever since I read about it in Issue 695 (page 38). I find it more effective than any other ad-blocker. But what I love is how it can also remove other annoying clutter from web pages.
First, click AdGuard’s icon ( 1 in our screenshot) then ‘Block ads manually’. Move your cursor over the page and you’ll see page ‘elements’ (boxes, icons and so on) highlighted in green. Click an element you want to block. I hate those ‘pay monthly’ offers on shopping sites, so I always block those 2 . You can then move the green slider 3 to make the blocked area bigger if you want. Click ‘Preview’ to see what the page would look like without this element, or Block if you’re happy to proceed 4 . It will disappear, and should also vanish from other pages on that site.

Make Camelizer shortcut easier to press
I’ve given up booze, fags, biscuits and many other things that make life worth living, so my New Year’s resolutions are less exciting these days. One of them is to change my favourite three-key shortcuts to two. Stretching across the keyboard to perform some of those three-key shortcuts requires double-jointed fingers and thumbs.
