First released by Findmypast in early 2022, the 1921 England and Wales census is now also available to search on Ancestry. You’ll need a paid-for subscription, though the 14-day free trial might give you long enough to explore the census – sign up atwww.snipca. com/53733. It was the first census to be carried out after World War 1, and the first that included British citizens in overseas RAF bases. It also included details of employment (not just occupation) and place of work for the first time.
