Check which of your bills are overdue
By combining the formulas AND and TODAY you can work out which bills are overdue. In our example, we’ve added expenses to column A, the cost to B, whether they’ve been paid to C, and their due date to D.
We then selected every cell, then clicked the Home tab followed by Conditional Formatting, then New Rule. Next we clicked ‘Use a formula to determine which cells to format’, then typed =AND($C2="No", $D21 in our screenshot. This formula checks if the payment status in column C is “No” (unpaid), and whether the due date in column D is before today’s date.
We then clicked Format followed by the Fill tab 2 and chose yellow 3 . When we clicked OK our overdue bills were highlighted in yellow 4 .
