There’s nothing quite like being in a Christmas-clad cottage to get you in the holiday spirit. Bryan Cosham, a beloved first-grade teacher and home décor enthusiast, shares his insights into Christmas traditions and decorating strategies. He and his husband, Jameson, enjoy spending the holidays in their cozy Connecticut home with their furry companions Rocko, Tucker and Lily. We asked Bryan to share his approach to holiday décor:
CB: When did you become interested in home décor?
Bryan: I became interested in home décor at an early age. I loved helping my mother decorate our home, especially around the holidays. Growing up, my mother had a Christmas tree in every single room, and I loved decorating them and coming up with themes for each of the rooms in our house. As I got older and moved into my own spaces, I knew that I wanted to decorate like my mother for the holidays and carry on the tradition of putting a Christmas tree in every room. Now, as I decorate our cozy little home for the holidays, we have nine trees: one in the living room, one in our office, two in the kitchen, two in the dining room, one in the entryway, one in our bedroom and one in our spare bedroom.
