Does it seem like some people have an eye for creating a memorable table while some of us, well, just

don’t? We asked our 2021 Brand Ambassador Toni Mogensen (@toni_marianna on Instagram) for the steps she follows to assemble tablescapes that are, without fail, showstoppers.

CB: How do you decide upon a theme for your tablescapes?

Toni: I’m always going for a rustic and romantic vibe, so that’s my starting point. I’m also always trying to come up with something a little different for each tablescape to provide inspiration. I think about the little details like what/how will I style each place setting? Do I want to use a tablecloth, table runner or create one of my own? For this romantic tablescape, I started by adding fresh eucalyptus down the center of the table. It was pretty, but I had done that many times before and wanted to create something different, so I completely switched it up and added strands of beads layered with velvet ribbon. Other things I think about: Do I want to create a large centerpiece or multiple smaller items styled on the table?
