Best contemporary cross stitch mag out there!

Clean, clear, coloured charts with easily identifiable symbols. UK magazine, so there are more cultural references to Brittain and Europe than North America. If you're a fan of Emma Congdon ("Stitchrovia"), you'll find lots of her patterns within the past 3 years (2020 onwards). There are hardly any patterns I wouldn't consider stitching!

I'm also a big fan of the variety of projects: I've stitched cards, ornaments, bags, pillows, needle cases, pin cushions, and toys! Clear instructions, but I wish there were more pictorial instructions for the projects (pillows, toys, etc.) that require some previous sewing experience. With these projects, they are best put together with a sewing machine. Reviewed 31 August 2023
