Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) announced on February 27, 2024, that it had signed an agreement with Australian low-cost carrier Bonza to support its growing Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft fleet. The contract includes component repair services, access to pool spares, the provision of a main base kit (MBK), and AOG support for the 737-8 and CFMI LEAP-1B engines. The services will be managed from AFI KLM E&M’s logistics and distribution centres in Amsterdam, Miami and Kuala Lumpur.
Bonza CEO Tim Jordan commented: “For a growing airline like ours that currently has a smaller fleet, we need to ensure that all our aircraft are operational to deliver the best performance and experience for our customers. AFI KLM E&M’s equipment solutions, including the pool access programme, are a response to this requirement, and we are confident that their know-how and global experience of the 737 will be invaluable in delivering smooth operations for our fleet.”
