This George III cherry comb-back Windsor armchair, made in the Thames Valley c.1760, is estimated at £3000-5000 in an auction of furniture and antiques at The Pedestal in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire on 24th April.
Made from elm, the 3ft 9in (1.14m) high piece has a shaped toprail, a pierced vase splat and walnut arm-bow, and cabriole legs joined by stretchers.
