19th century Meissen Count Bruhl’s Tailor – £6800 at Jacobs & Hunt.
The Meissen model of Count Bruhl’s Tailor, left, was a major attraction at Hampshire auction house Jacobs & Hunt (26% buyer’s premium).
Standing 17in (43cm) tall, it had some condition issues, but auctioneer Martin Lawrence estimated it at £4000-6000 and it sold to a Continental bidder at £6800 at the June 15 sale in Liss.
