Mo Farah lost out in a head-to-head with Garrett Heath (left) this year in Edinburgh

MO FARAH is hoping to get his 2017 off to a winning start and make up for last year’s defeat at the Great Edinburgh International XCountry.
Farah’s Olympic double-winning 2016 didn’t get off to the best of starts as he lost out to American Garrett Heath in Holyrood Park, but the 33-year-old has made himself available for selection for the British team for a second year running in the Scottish capital on January 7 as he looks to make a more successful beginning to 2017 – his final year competing on the track.
