THE AMAZING veteran sprinter Charles Eugster is bringing out a book in the new year called Age is Just a Number: What a 97 Year Old Record Breaker Can Teach Us About Getting Older.
Eugster, who has been featured in AW a number of times, believes you can rebuild your body at any age. Among his theories, he also thinks retirement is a sure path to swift decline and that it’s far better to remain busy for as long as possible.
The former dentist took up sprinting aged 95 after a successful stint as a rower and body-builder and has broken world and national age group records in the sprints and long jump.
