It’s generally accepted that, as we get older, we learn to let go of some aspects of our childhood. A natural progression in life as our scope of wonder expands – or perhaps diminishes? What was once beguiling becomes less interesting, things lose their spark. However, I’ve found that this isn’t true of everything from my childhood. In fact, in adulthood, the love I felt as a child for something in particular has intensified. That something is my favourite character, Dorothy Gale, from The Wizard of Oz.
