Upgrade your passwords to passkeys
Chrome 136 (released in May) adds a useful option to the browser’s password manager to help protect your online accounts. It automatically upgrades your passwords to passkeys, so you can sign into websites more quickly and securely using your fingerprint, face or other screen-lock method.
This only works on sites that support passkeys, which you’ve recently signed into using a saved password. The site will confirm a passkey has been created (you can still sign in using a password) and save it to Chrome’s password manager.
