What’s All the Fuss About...
Windows updates
You’ll now have a clearer idea of what Microsoft installs on your PC
What are they?
Pieces of software released by Microsoft for a variety of reasons, but mostly to add features, fix faults, patch security holes and replace out-of-date drivers. They’re a necessary evil of using Windows and despite aiming to solve problems can cause plenty of their own. But if any updates go wrong in future, you’ll now have a better idea which were to blame.
Why’s that?
Because Microsoft has renamed updates to make them simpler, so they should be easier to understand.
