AS A DOCTOR I’m amazed at how many people I talk to during the consultation process who don’t have sex, don’t think they have enough sex, and/or have never spoken about sex objectively. Sex is a frequently discussed topic (mostly superficially), so there are many different interpretations of it due to its being integral to a healthy relationship and to a healthy lifestyle. In this multi-part series I’m going to look at all parts of sex, from some of the health benefits, to how to get more (or prolonged) sex, to how we can keep and maintain a healthy sexual outlook in the future. I will also look into sexual addiction, the role of fantasy, and the humanity and sometimes even pathology behind sex.
