THE SHOW'S OVER
In what was perhaps the least surprising news of 2016, the speedy end of Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s eighty three day relationship seemed to support what some people had been speculating from the start: it was possibly a set-up designed to strengthen both parties’ star power. While many celebs often go to great lengths to keep their new coupling away
from the cameras, Tay and Tom allowed the world’s media to snap every moment from the off. From that attention grabbing PDA in one of the busiest tourist spots in Rome to being “caught” kissing on the beach or sitting right by the window in a Nashville restaurant, it seemed that they wanted all eyes on them. Obviously, we were all obsessed. The explosive unveiling of Hiddleswift on 15 June rivalled Taylor’s nemesis Kim Kardashian for breaking the internet. Everyone from the broadsheets to Phillip Schofield had an opinion on the new pairing but many were suspicious that it looked like it may have been for publicity.

Heat magazine (also known as Heat World), was published by Bauer Media Group in 1999 and has become the source that fuels the scandalous conversation about the celebrity world and set popular culture alight! Initially launched as a general interest entertainment magazine, a couple of revamps later, it rebranded and repositioned itself as a gossip orientated magazine which didn’t take itself too seriously.
The rebrand of Heat magazine was timed to coincide with the launch of a commercially successful reality TV show, Big Brother. This gossip focused mag created its own individual tone of voice which women gravitated towards as they revelled in the scandal which often engulfs the sparkling celebrity world.
