Model suffered her first hangover aged eight
Cara Delevingne has opened up about getting sober, confessing in a new interview that she first got drunk at the age of eight.
Recalling being a bridesmaid at her aunt’s wedding in 2001, Cara, 32, said: “I got drunk that day. I was eight. What a crazy age to get drunk. I woke up in my granny’s house in my bedroom with a hangover in a bridesmaid’s dress.”
She added: “I used to think drugs and alcohol helped me cope. But they didn’t. They kept me sad and super depressed.”
The model, who recently finished a stint in the West End production of Cabaret, has been sober since entering rehab in 2022. Speaking earlier this year, she said: “If I can [get sober], anyone can. But you need to be honest with yourself.”
