An Olympic Games set against a global pandemic is something none of us believed we’d experience just over a year ago. But, alas, here we are. Despite the Japanese organising committee’s inevitable challenges, the 2020 Olympic Games are – at the time of writing – set to go ahead and wow its viewers as spectacularly as its predecessors. The elite athletes in contention for their respective teams have had to overcome many setbacks in their training regimes, so reaching Olympic status is nothing to be sniffed at. Glancing back to our last Olympics at Rio in 2016, the equestrian side of Team GB had a highly successful run, with our very own Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro stealing the show, winning an individual gold and team silver. Plus, Nick Skelton fulfilled a lifelong ambition with his individual gold on Big Star. With a myriad of new faces on the scene this year, how will our time in Tokyo compare?
