More than 100 golfers turned out for the Harris Ross three-person Texas scramble in support of a Lochaber charity on Saturday. Tanya Ross, founder of Star for Harris, said she was ‘overwhelmed’ by the support shown by locals at the golf tournament on Saturday as teams of friends and families set offfrom Fort William Golf Club early on Saturday morning for a full day of action. Tommy Disher, Mark Rydings and Davie MacDonald scored an impressive round to become the overall winners this year but there were plenty of other winners who received prizes for nearest the pin, longest drive and the secret holes competitions. The tournament, an open event with non-members invited with a maximum handicap of 18, was held to raise money for Lochaberbased charity, Star for Harris.
