A man admitted obstructing police oficers in their duties at a hotel in Mallaig last year affer appearing at Fort William SherifiCourt this week.
Gary Scott, 30, from Glasgow, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest in the early hours of October 21, 2018, in that he obstructed or hindered two oficers in their duties by tensing his body, lashing out with his legs, attempted to trip them up and struggled with them. ffe court heard on Tuesday February 26 that the two police oficers were called to the licensed premises at 12.10am and arrested the accused who ‘immediately became aggressive’.
Scott repeatedly swung his hands at them, lashed out with his arms and continued struggling before eventually being restrained. Defence agent Catriona Rowantree said: ‘Scott accepts he became involved with the police and the incident has made his life more dificult as a result.’
