Why did you start yoga?
My first yoga lesson must have been at the gym in my early 30s. I come from a movement background (dance and gymnastics), so it allowed me to reconnect with my body after sitting hours at a desk. I started practicing regularly at a local studio down the road, as well as at the gym and explored different styles of yoga. Vinyasa was what I connected to most with as it allowed me to feel freedom of movement as in dance, something I craved and missed so much in an office environment. It made me feel alive again.
