A
year or so ago, I decided to become an intuitive eater. Rather than counting calories and working of my meals, I’d trust my body to let me know when it was hungry and what it was hungry for - how hard could it be?

The first thing I did was throw out my bathroom scales, and it felt liberating! Then I started to miss them. Over the years, I’d given them the power to control my self-esteem - now what would I do? I decided I’d know I was doing intuitive eating correctly when I only wanted to eat salads, whole grains and maybe an occasional piece of chocolate. And, of course, I would be exercising in a sensible and balanced way, which would probably mean running three times a week.
