A diverse team of 18 elite and Olympic rowers from the Zambezi River basin nations of Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa, along with the USA and the UK, joined forces in July 2018 to row 900km along the Kafue River in Africa; one of the Zambezi’s largest tributaries.
The unique expedition was designed to raise awareness of the critical issues that the Zambezi River Basin and Kafue River are facing. It also raised money to support WWF and World Rowing in their efforts to build a water research and rowing centre on the Kafue River.
