Finding the perfect fit: Lingerie fitting advice for trans women

A well-fitting bra is a wardrobe staple. Historically, bras were designed to support and cover the wearer’s breasts; while in more recent years, underwear ranges have dramatically expanded to meet a wider variety of purposes.

While fashion, aesthetic, nursing, sport and post-surgery bras are easily accessible, a large majority of this lingerie is designed for women’s bodies. To compensate, many trans or transitioning women subsequently explore the use of padding or inserts to make them feel comfortable, feminine and align with what they want to be.
