They say that you’ll never know what something’s like until you try it. This couldn’t have been more true when I think about my attitude to dressing as I was growing up.
I’d tried on my mum’s clothes from time to time, but deep down I always knew I wanted to explore this side of me further. I’d long made the decision that my ‘girly’ name would be Claire and I would probably say that my late teens were when I really started to explore dressing. This was the first time I’d ever seen myself fully dressed and made up. I’d had some help and advice from my girl friends and in all honesty I was pleasantly surprised. ‘Not bad!! Okay for a first try!’ I thought to myself. University came and went and the urge to experience more of life as Claire and ‘let her out’ only grew stronger. It was in the summer of 2016 that I finally decided to contact a dressing service for the first time ever.
