“In my first pregnancy, I ran until 24 weeks… which, when looking back, was about 12 weeks too long. I didn’t especially enjoy the running in those months, but being in lockdown, I didn’t know what else to do to stay fit. I was also trying to cling onto a sense of identity. I was a runner. Who was I if I wasn’t running?
“This time around, I went for a run at nine weeks. I didn’t know that I was pregnant with twins at the time! I came back and said to the Hubster: “That felt terrible. Awful. It wasn’t fun. I think it’s time to stop running for a while.”
