Swansea & District Writers’ Circle Horror Anthology Competition invites entries of scary short stories, spine-chilling scripts and eerie poems.
All the winning entries will be published in a horror anthology to be published in time for Halloween, with cover art by Welsh fantasy artist Steve Upham. The prizes are £150 and £50 for the winner and runner up in the short story and script categories, and £100 and £35 in the poetry category.
All entries should be original, unpublished work in the horror/psychological thriller genre. Any take on horror is acceptable, from comic to terrifying. Gore is acceptable but gratuitous violence, particularly sexual, is not.
