Sam loves using neutral shades in small rooms

Sam Ryder’s first sight of her new home was not exactly favourable, as she explains: ‘My husband James and I were taken to a building site where the whole of the front of the house was missing!’ The reason was because a builder was in the process of transforming an ugly 1970s townhouse into a pretty Victorian-style cottage, though Sam admits it was hard to visualise the end result. ‘There was a lot we didn’t like, so although it seems crazy, we started making plans to rip the place apart all over again!’
