SHOPS TO MAKE A DETOUR FOR…
Back in June we asked you to nominate your favourite fine food retailer for Great Taste’s Deli Shop of the Year award, sponsored by Hotel Indigo.
You helped to choose Delilah Fine Foods in Leicester (delilahfinefoods.co.uk). Set in a grand former banking hall, the place is packed with quality food from around the world. With an in-house bakery and an eat-in menu of home-cooked food and fine wines, Delilah is a proper gourmet destination.
Great Taste’s Farm Shop of the Year was awarded to Cambridge’s The Gog (thegog. com), whose clutch of pretty barns in rural Stapleford includes a butchery, deli and café with buckets of rustic charm.
