OLD MEETS NEW
As a secret salad cream addict (I blame my nana, who never used mayo) I’m a fan of the new vegan version by Sacla with its tangy flavour and creamy texture. Enjoy it dolloped over your favourite salad – which, for non-vegan me, is tuna, egg and tomato. Also in the range are aioli, blue ch**se and caesar dressings.

MALDON GOES LARGE
The food team have long used Maldon’s wonderful sea salt flakes, from the Blackwater estuary in Essex. We always had a niggle, though: the cardboard packaging soon becomes raggedy and isn’t userfriendly in a busy kitchen. So we take off our hats to the new tub: tough, resealable and keeps the flakes pristine.
