I have been fortunate to capture red squirrels in all seasons, but autumn is one of the best times of year for doing so. Not only are the squirrels developing thicker and darker winter coats and ear tufts, but they are also busy looking for food and storing it for the cold winter months ahead. In autumn, these elusive species are also surrounded by the stunning warm colours of seasonal foliage.
