SHOOTING SKILLS

FRAME within a FRAME

Claire Gillo shares with you how to shoot and edit a frame within a frame, within a frame, within a frame, within a frame…

Frame it Capture creative, surreal shots using a wooden frame and a dash of Photoshop in a few simple steps
All images © Claire Gillo

Difficulty level: Intermediate

Time taken: 2 hours

If you have that creative knack or love shooting surreal shots like we do, then look no further then a frame within a frame concept. Not only is this project fun to shoot, it is even more enjoyable to edit!

For this project you will need relatively little kit, since the only prop is an empty frame. We used an old wooden picture frame we had lying around the house, but there is no reason why you have to use a square or rectangular shape, and you could get really creative here with alternative shapes and materials.
