Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max
With plenty of advanced photography technology, this is a great phone for photographers
Apple’s iPhone has probably done the most to transform our perception of what smartphone cameras are capable of, but the brand hasn’t taken its foot off the gas. The iPhone 12 Pro Max is Apple’s flagship smartphone and while it might at first glance appear to share the same suite of cameras as the 12 Pro, that’s not the case, as the larger size has allowed Apple to squeeze in larger imaging sensors. This sees the 12 Pro Max feature a primary 26mm f/1.6 lens married to a 12MP sensor (with 1.7µmm pixels) that’s complemented by an ultra-wide 13mm f/2.4 lens and a 65mm f/2 moderate telephoto lens, both with 12MP sensor (though with a pixel pitch smaller than the primary camera). It does lack the extra long telephoto lens that the Galaxy S21 Ultra enjoys, however.
