About the shot: “There was a total lunar eclipse happening this evening. The Blood Moon is lighting the clouds and seems much closer than it actually is, making the image feel more powerful than you would expect. I used two photos taken approximately three minutes apart to create the final image. The first was exposed properly for the clouds, while the second image was exposed for the moon.”
