Reduce digital noise
Learn the best camera settings for capturing scenes in low light and maximising the quality of your shots
AVOID EXTREMES
Digital noise can actually increase when using the noise reduction camera function with extremely long shutter speeds. To filter out noise, the camera is not only recording one image but two. As a consequence, the camera sensor heats up and adds chromatic noise.
The most common solution when shooting scenes in limited light is to increase ISO, but this results in digital noise. To capture subjects clearly, you should expand your knowledge of the equipment and take advantage of your camera’s features.
