LET’S BE GRAPHIC
Can you pass on my love of Queen Josephine’s graphic histories of black women, please?
I am really enjoying reading them and working out if I have met any of them in real life (and I have). If she ever thought of putting her collection into a book, I would certainly buy a copy. And thanks to the book review team for highlighting Tillie Walden’s new book about young love and Jackie Fleming’s latest, The Trouble With Women. I howled with laughter, and after showing it to a friend she bought her own copy. Please keep the mixed genre reviews coming.

FACEBOOK FEEDBACK
It’s all going on at facebook.com/divamagazine. Last month’s cover star, Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson caused a bit of a storm and divided reader opinion. “Stunning,” said Natalie C, while Mandy O gave Marnie the thumbs up: “Can’t wait for my copy to drop through the door.” However, some voiced doubts that the newly-out reality star is truly bisexual, provoking Jay S to comment, “So much hostility for coming out?” Siobhan P agreed: “Who are we to decide who is what orientation?” We only hope Marnie, who talked to DIVA about the toxic effect of social media sniping on her self-esteem, wasn’t reading. Meanwhile, Pam I was totally mystified: “Is she Bart’s sister?”
