This year’s BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival marks the 37th edition of the UK’s largest and longest-running queer film event. Taking place between 15 and 26 March at BFI Southbank, this is an unmissable experience for LGBTQIA+ screen buffs. Like previous years, the festival will be divided into three programme strands: Hearts, Bodies and Minds. BFI Flare 2023 will present 28 world premieres, 58 features and 90 shorts from 41 countries. This year’s shorts programme is split across 12 thematic selections, including the strand I Need I Want I Will, a collection of UKproduced shorts offering a thrilling miscellany of experience and imagination.
