DNA: Last time we chatted you told DNA there were big things ahead you couldn’t yet reveal.
Peyton: That was probably The X-Factor. A lot of people didn’t understand that plan. When I came out of X-Factor under slightly bizarre circumstances people were furious on my behalf. I explained that it was okay and all part of a larger strategic plan. In the end, the way it has worked out is brilliant. As my father, a preacher, says, “The Lord works in mysterious ways.” Exiting when I did allowed me to get what I went in there for – exposure. And when I left there wasn’t anything negative or destructive to my reputation.
