When Georgia started acting, she wanted to establish herself independently of her famous father. “I very carefully didn’t use his surname, because I thought, ‘That makes me a good person,’” she says. “But actually, I sort of go, ‘Why didn’t I do that? That would have made things a bit easier for me!’ It was probably a very good decision, but for every plus, there’s a minus, I think.”
Georgia’s two younger brothers, Louis and Joel, have followed her into acting under the Davison stage name. “My dad likes to do a bit where he goes, ‘Oh, my children being actors!’” she says, affecting despair. “I think he does that because that’s what you should say, but really I think he quite likes it. My eldest brother has just got a lead in Poldark, and my dad is incredibly proud.”
And the family dynasty doesn’t stop there: Ty Tennant wrapped his first movie role last year. “He’s 15, and it was not something we were expecting to happen quite so early,” says Georgia, “but ultimately, he’s found something that makes him really happy, and he’s sort of found himself. I think that’s all you can hope for – that they find something that makes them happy.”
