Alongside the soundtrack, the local aquarium is the most compelling reason to persevere through the game’s choppier stretches, as it steadily becomes a valuable tourist attraction through the fish you donate
From its characterful voxel art to the tranquil pleasures of Lena Raine’s gorgeous score, Bunnyhug’s debut initially feels as warm as a fisherman’s jumper. But its cosy, chunky-knit vibe doesn’t last long. Shortly after arriving at the titular coastal town, you’re whisked forward in time: your partner, swept away at sea, has been missing for three years. Now, with the arrival of your daughter, it’s time to move on – and to help Moonglow Bay do the same, as the struggling town prepares to celebrate its centennial. The stage is set for a touching journey of self-recovery and community revival, but it becomes clear that the game itself is in need of serious TLC.
