ELEPHANTINE EMOTIONS
As a reader who’s been with you since Issue 2, this is the first time I’ve put pen to paper. Alex Godfrey’s reassessment of The Elephant Man is one of the best reviews I’ve had the pleasure to read. It articulated so well why the film means so much to me. I’m not emotional, but this movie is the one I can’t get through without crying. While reading the review, I detected the merest of lip trembles as I reached the end. I may be going soft in my old age, but I think it’s due to the quality of the writing.
