In 2007 the animated scarecrows from this story were released as action figures with minor variations. There was a version in a blue tunic, and two alternatives wearing brown tunics – one of which also had a blue neck-tie. As well as forming an important part of the Series 3 action-figure collection, these toys could also be used by farmers to frighten away very small birds.
