First appearing as a ‘regeneration’ figure in the End of Time mini-wave, the Eleventh Doctor then crashed into toyshops s in The Eleventh Doctor’s ‘Crash’ Set double-pack in 2010. This one-off clamshell set, featuring the Doctor in both his ‘crash clothes’ and his standard outfit, was availableailable to purchase on 4 April 2010, the day after The Eleventh Hour was broadcast. The new Doctor came with his redesigned sonic screwdriver accessory. An exclusive variant of the Crash Set, featuring the Doctor with a blue bowtie, was available from Toys R Us. The standard version of the Doctor, with the red bow-tie, was also issued on a single card as part of the initial wave of Series 5 figures. A repaint of this model, with additionalal stripes added to the jacket, was paired with a Police Woman Amy Pond figure and a TARDIS for the 2010 Christmas Adventure Set based on that year’s A Christmas Carol. Also in 2010, a jacketless Eleventh Doctor figure was released alongside an orange Dalek Scientist as a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive.
