Art of England  |  102 - May 2013
Welcome to this issue of Art of England which unapologetically presents four reviews of major art shows: Becoming Picasso at the Courtauld (a knock out show which I urge all readers to see), the uncelebrated but brilliant Barocci at the National Gallery, Lichtenstein at Tate Modern and William Turnbull’s sculptures at Chatsworth House. This issue also sees commercial galleries getting into their stride, introducing new artists and getting creative with the ways inwhich art is presented both in and outside of the gallery. I hope you enjoy Art of England’s straw poll of 21 galleries outside London (featured below) and their thoughts and predictions for the year ahead. As usual, Art of England also brings you the best shows and exhibitions from funded and commercial galleries around the country.
