Bead & Jewellery Magazine  |  Issue 121
It’s not long until the clocks go forward, and I cannot wait for that extra bit of light during the day to get more beading done. And soon, I’ll be able to start pottering around in the garden again, taking all the inspiration from my lovely spring blooms to incorporate into my designs. I don’t know about everyone else, but I find it so much easier to work with colour once spring is here, and I’m not sure if that’s because I’m inspired more by my surroundings or just because it’s stopped feeling as if we’re stuck in the cold, wet, never-ending groundhog day that is January and February. With inspiration in mind, I often wonder what inspires other people when designing jewellery. Is it nature, Hollywood glamour, or the shapes they’re working with; the list could be endless. On that note, maybe we should try and work out what inspired all the lovely designs that feature in this issue.
