With their own new studio in East London to explore, for the first time Hot Chip began an album with all five members working together. To some, the band are still essentially frontmen Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard, but – especially since collaborating with the likes of LCD Soundsystem – instrumentalists Al Doyle, Felix Martin and Owen Clarke are also integral.
